Mishs photo: I was talking to Lou about her time in Timor. I LEAVE IN SIXTEEN DAYS! It was awesome to talk to her about her growth while she was there, her experiences, and trying to learn as much as I could. I love talking with people who have lived overseas. Their growth is inspiring.

Mish’s photo: I took a five year old out today to have a play day in the park. The beauty of children on swings gets me every time. They’re so free.

Mishs photo: I was talking with E the other day about how my life is looking so much brighter than it did about five, four, three, two, one month(s) ago. I don’t like to put pictures of up myself..that isn’t that point of this blog. However, it’s ‘Life‘. My Life is pretty much summed up like this right now. Hope-filled!

Mishs photo: I LOVE APPLES. I love them for their simplicity: sweet, tart, bakable, crunchy, refreshing.

Es photo: We’re now back in Singapore for a 2 weeks’ visit and I’ll definitely be posting more pictures from the trip, so stay tuned. Here’s why I took this picture as ‘simplicity‘. Do you remember the good old days when, if you have a few hours to spare while in transit, you either grab a snooze or catch up on some reading? Now, there’s a constant need to stay abreast of whatever is happening through internet, especially when there’s free internet access! Sometimes, I do miss the simplicity of airplane travelling.

Mishs photo: I went shopping today and picked out this dress as a present for myself. If I stay true to the habits which I’ve outlined I want to change..it’s mine!

Es photo: I drove to work today which is a first since I always take the bus. It felt good driving down the relatively quiet road and coming into office 45 minutes earlier because it gave me some “me-time” before work starts. And since the husband’s car has already had an honourable mention in the blog, here’s a picture of my nifty little one..

Mishs Photo: These are two of my good friends in Australia–Nicole and Tara. The peace that friends can bring is priceless.

Es photo: Perth is beginning to feel like home finally. I feel that my feelings for the place has really grown especially in the last few months. Perhaps it has got to do with us settling into our own home after 18 months of renting. Or perhaps it is because the space in my heart has grown recently to letting new friends in. After all, home has always been where the heart is, isn’t it?

Mishs Photo: I saw this little notepad at the bookstore today. The beauty of always having a camera with you is that you never know when somethine interesting will present itself. Anyways, this quote hit me, because in some ways I think it shows growth for me. I am learning that I have what I need, and to not ever underestimate or trivialise what I need.

Es photo: Last night was my last class in jewellery-making. It had been a wonderful four weeks of expressing creativity through the learning of a new craft. I didn’t manage to finish my project – a charm bracelet in class last night so I continued working on when I got home. This is going to be the most challenging piece of jewellery that I’ve had to make!

Mishs photo: I went over to a house full of American study abroad students last night for dinner. They served up some Austraian food. The creativity in mixing Diet Coke and Fanta in equal ratios ends in an interesting drink. I am always fascinted by the simliarities and differences in cultural food.

Es photo: Another sunset with its beautiful lights. This was taken at the Canning River. There’s something soothing about sunsets I reckon. Perhaps it’s the winding up of a busy day or the anticipation of a lovely evening to come; whatever it is, I love sunsets.

Mishs Photo: I went and got candles this weekend with E. I love the simple light of candles in a dark room. It’s so incredibly soothing.

Mishs Photo: I went to Ikea today with E. The simplicity of the 3.50 meal is something that you can only appreciate in Australia. I would never eat baked beans for brekky in America. But I love them now. Here’s to a simple Ikea meal 🙂P1011472

Es photo: That’s right; that’s Mish posing by the incredible $3.50 breakfast deal at IKEA. When Mish first suggested going to IKEA on Saturday, the first thing that came out of my mouth was: great! We can go eat the $3.50 breakfast! I love it when I can get a simple meal on a budget, especially when eating out in Perth is often expensive.
